15k seems extremely conservative to me. With an open differential the wheel will turn fairly easy. All of toyota's literature keeps referring to it as auto limited slip diff which pisses me off beyond belief!!!!

The best way to tell if you have a limited slip is to jack the rear wheels off the ground and turn one wheel, if they both turn in the same direction it is limited slip, if one wheel turns forward and the other backwards its an open diff.
